छठ पूजा से पहले पूर्वांचल समाज की बहनों को भेजा माँ गंगा स्नान के लिए हरिद्वार - विपुल गोयल पूर्व मंत्री

फरीदाबाद : 14 नवम्पूबर l  पूर्व मंत्री विपुल गोयल ने अपने सेक्टर 16 स्थित कार्यालय सागर सिनेमा से कार्तिक माह के पावन अवसर पर फरीदाबाद क्षेत्र के पटेल नगर स्लम एरिया की माताओ ओर बहनो को माँ गंगा स्नान के लिए हरिद्वार तीर्थ यात्रा पर भेजा। विपुल गोयल ने बताया कि छठ पूजा से पहले महिलाएं गंगा जल ग्रहण कर पूजा अर्चना करती है ऐसी परम्परा वर्षो से चली आ रही है तो इसी वजह से छठ पूजा से पहले पूर्वांचल समाज की माताओं ओर बहनों को माँ गंगा स्नान के लिए भेजा गया है।

इससे पहले भी पूर्व मंत्री  विपुल गोयल अब तक हजारों बसे तीर्थ धामों पर अपने क्षेत्र से निशुल्क भेज चुके हैं ओर फरीदाबाद क्षेत्र की जनता को धार्मिक जगहों पर तीर्थ यात्राएं करवाने के लिए अभी भी हरिद्वार, शिरडी साईं धाम, वैष्णो देवी, पटना साहेब आदि जगहों पर निशुल्क भेजा जा रहा है। पूर्व मंत्री विपुल गोयल यह सेवा काफी वर्षो से निशुल्क करवाते आ रहे है जोकि नमो तीर्थ यात्रा के नाम से जानी जाती हैं।

इस बारे जब विपुल गोयल से बातचीत की तो उन्होंने बताया की कार्तिक का पावन महीना शुरु हो गया है ओर इस माह में माँ गंगा स्नान का विशेष महत्व वेदों पुराणों में बताया गया है ओर वह स्वयं चाहते है की उनका क्षेत्र उनका परिवार है ओर इस नाते उनके परिवारिक लोग भी इसका लाभ ले ओर पुण्य के भागीदार बने।

पूर्व मंत्री विपुल गोयल ने बताया कि जाने वाले तीर्थ यात्रियों का रहने, खाने- पीने का पूरा प्रबंध उनकी तरफ से ही रहता है ओर जो भी व्यक्ति तीर्थ स्थानों पर जाना चाहता है वो उनके  कार्यालय मे निशुल्क रजिस्ट्रेशन करवा सकता है। पूर्व मंत्री ने सभी माताओ को भेजते हुए उनकी मंगल यात्रा की कामना की ओर लोगो से क्षेत्र की प्रगति ओर खुशहाली की कामना माँ गंगा से करने के लिए कहा।

मानव रचना में दीक्षांत समारोह का आयोजन, 13 सौ से ज़्यादा छात्रों को डिग्रियां और छह मानद उपाधियां दी गई

 फरीदाबाद, 28 अक्टूबर, 2023: मानव रचना शैक्षणिक संस्थान (एमआरईआई) में शनिवार को दीक्षांत समारोह का आयोजन हुआ। मानव रचना यूनिवर्सिटी (एमआरयू), मानव रचना इंटरनेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ रिसर्च एंड स्टडीज (एमआरआईआईआरएस) और मानव रचना डेंटल कॉलेज (एमआरडीसी) के इस संयुक्त दीक्षांत समारोह का शुभारंभ दीप जलाकर किया गया। इस दौरान भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान के पूर्व निदेशक पद्मश्री प्रोफेसर पद्मनाभन बलराम बतौर मुख्य अतिथि पहुंचे। मौके पर एमआरईआई की चीफ पैट्रन श्रीमती सत्या भल्ला, अध्यक्ष डॉ. प्रशांत भल्ला, उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. अमित भल्ला, एमआरआईआईआरएस के उपकुलपति डॉ. संजय श्रीवास्तव, एमआरयू के उपकुलपति डॉ. आईके भट, महानिदेशक एमआरईआई डॉ. एनसी वाधवा आदि मौजूद रहे।

13 सौ से ज्यादा डिग्रियां दी गई

समारोह के दौरान 13 सौ से ज़्यादा डिग्रियां दी गई, इनमें 989 स्नातक, 300 स्नातकोत्तर व 13 पीएचडी डिग्रियां शामिल हैं। साथ ही 67 मेधावी विद्यार्थियों को पदक देकर सम्मानित किया गया। मानद डिग्री पाने वालों में पूर्व भारतीय मुक्केबाज पद्म विभूषण एमसी मैरी कॉम, भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश जस्टिस यूयू ललित, आश्रम गांधी पुरी के संस्थापक पद्मश्री आगुस इंद्र उदयन, साइकोट्रोपिक्स इंडिया लिमिटेड के संस्थापक श्री नवदीप चावला, सुमन निर्मल मिंडा फाउंडेशन  की चेयरपर्सन श्रीमती सुमन मिंडा और एडीपी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड में सीनियर वाइस प्रेजीडेंट डॉ विपुल सिंह शामिल रहे। इस दौरान डॉ. संजय श्रीवास्तव और डॉ. आईके भट ने विश्वविद्यालयों की वार्षिक रिपोर्ट पेश की।

 

दीक्षांत समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए प्रो. पद्मनाभन बलराम ने कहा कि, "जिंदगी में असफलता सफलता के मुकाबले ज्यादा मिलती है, लेकिन इससे घबराना नहीं चाहिए। सीखने की प्रक्रिया जिंदगी भर चलती रहनी चाहिए। दीक्षांत समारोह हर छात्र, उनके अभिभावकों और संस्थान के लिए एक गौरवशाली पल होता है। युवाओं के इस यादगार पल का साक्षी बनकर खुशी हुई।“

 

डॉ. प्रशांत भल्ला ने सभी छात्रों और अभिभावकों को बधाई देते हुए कहा, कि आज का दिन आपके कठिन परिश्रम, समर्पण और त्याग के परिणाम का दिन है। मुझे पूरा विश्वास है कि आप जिस भी क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ेंगे पूरी नैतिकता के साथ जिम्मेदारी निभाएंगे। आपने जो बेहतर समय यहां बिताया है उन्हें लेकर आगे बढ़ें और एक बेहतर भविष्य के निर्माता बनें।  

 

डॉ. संजय श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि छात्रों को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि हमें आप पर सदैव गर्व रहेगा। मुझे यकीन है कि जब भी आपको हमारी जरूरत होगी हम खुले दिल से आपका स्वागत करेंगे। उन्होंने छात्रों को हमेशा धैर्यपूर्वक सुनने, परिश्रमपूर्वक विचार करने, सही ढंग से समझने और उचित निर्णय लेने का संदेश दिया।

 

डॉ. आईके भट ने संबोधन में कहा कि आज आपने डिग्री हासिल की है इसी तरह आप भविष्य में हर सफलता हासिल करें ये शुभकामनाएं हैं। मानव रचना में आपको जो ज्ञान और कौशल प्राप्त हुआ है वो भविष्य में आपको हर चुनौती का समाधान खोजने में मददगार साबित होगा पूरा भरोसा है।

जस्टिस यूयू ललित- मैंने अपने जीवन में 40 साल से ज्यादा का समय कानूनी क्षेत्र में बिताया है और पर्याप्त उपलब्धियां पाई है, लेकिन मानव रचना से मिला ये सम्मान मेरे लिए गौरव का विषय है।

 

आगुस इंद्र उदयन- मैं बहुत गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहा हूं कि संस्थान ने मुझे इस सम्मान के योग्य समझा। 30 सालों के समर्पण के लिए ये मिला ये पुरस्कार माता-पिता का आशीर्वाद है।

 

नवदीप चावला- मानव रचना ने ये दिन मेरे लिए बेहद खास बनाया इसके लिए दिल की गहराई से धन्यवाद। ये सम्मान मैं दोस्तों, परिवार और सभी कर्मचारियों को समर्पित करता हूं।

हरियाणा स्टेट फिनस्विंमिंग चैंपियनशिप की भव्य आयोजन

फरीदाबाद :  मॉडर्न स्कूल सेक्टर 17 में अंडरवाटर स्पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ हरियाणा द्वारा तृतीय हरियाणा स्टेट फिनस्विंमिंग चैंपियनशिप की भव्य आयोजन  किया गया जिसमे फरीदाबाद जिले के एवं हरियाणा के अन्य जिलों के स्कूलों से और अन्य जगहों से भी फिनस्विमर इस राज्य स्तरीय  के  प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेंगे।  इस प्रतियोगिता की पंजीकरण शुल्क 300 रूपये रखी गई है रजिस्ट्रेशन फीस यह दो दिवसीय प्रतियोगिता 23  एवं 24  जुलाई 2023 सुबह 9:00 बजे से मॉडर्न स्कूल सेक्टर 17 फरीदाबाद में  प्रारम्भ होगी।

इसी विषय पर विस्तृत जानकारी देते हुए अंडर वाटर स्पोर्टस एसोसिएशन ऑफ हरियाणा के महा सचिब ने बताया कि  लगभग 200 फिन स्विमर इस 3rd हरियाणा राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेंगे। अंडर वाटर स्पोर्टस एसोसिएशन ऑफ हरियाणा के अध्यक्ष श्री दीप भाटिया जी ने बताया कि मॉडर्न स्कूल सेक्टर 17 फरीदाबाद के परिसर में आयोजन किया जाएगा । सभी फिनस्विमर और अभिभावक को इस राज्य स्तरीय फिनस्विमिंग  प्रतियोगिता में उपस्थित होने के लिए सदर आमंत्रित किया है। 

 मॉडर्न स्कूल सेक्टर 17 पर आयोजित : - 

इस चैम्पियनशिप में  हरियाणा के विभिन्न जिलों से फिनस्वीमर्स हिस्सा लगे । फिन्सविमर्स ने विभिन्न श्रेणियों में शीर्ष स्थान हासिल किए और बहुत से खिताबों को जीत लिया। इस प्रतियोगिता मैं अजय गौड़ जी मुख्य अतिथि के रुप मे मजूद रहे। मनमोहन गुप्ता जी प्रधान जिला तैराकी संघ के अध्यक्ष ,अनिल खत्री वाइस प्रेसिडेंट, तैराकी फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया। अंडर वाटर स्पोर्टस एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया के ऑब्जर्वर रूप में आर के सिंह, राम रावत जी, अनिल दीप महल,रेहान सिद्धीकी, देबू राणा जी विशेष रूप से मजुद रहे। यह रोमांचक जलीय खेल के प्रतिभागियों की असीम ताक़त से आयोजित हुआ। मॉडर्न स्कूल में दो दिन का फिनस्विंमिंग प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे सारे हरियाणा राज्य के विभिन्न वर्गों के  फिन स्विमर  ने बढ़ चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया। तकनीनी अधिकारी के तौर पर  सिरसा से गुगुन जी, वीरेन्द्र, राम भटेरी, सुषमा, आशीष पल जी, विकास जी एवं अन्य प्रशिसको ने अपना पूरा सहयोग दिया। प्रतियोगिता के पहले दिन में 400 मीटर पुरुष (1999 -2005 ) में केशव (फरीदाबाद)ने प्रथम स्थान ,हिमांशु (बल्लबगढ़) ने दूसरा स्थान और आशीष (सोनीपत ) ने तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में दिव्या महाजन (फरीदाबाद) ने प्रथम स्थान,इशिका (सोनीपत) ने दूसरा स्थान और संजना (सिरसा) ने तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। 400 मीटर पुरुष (2008 -2009 ) में  ईशान (झज्जर )से प्रथम, सम्राट (झज्जर) से दूसरा और  उदित (फरीदाबाद) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में इदरीस (पलवल) से प्रथम, निशिका (सोनीपत) से दूसरा स्थान , रिया (सिरसा) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। 400 मीटर पुरुष (2010 -2011) में गौरव (झज्जर )से प्रथम, सुमित (झज्जर) से दूसरा और तरुण  (सोनीपत) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में निहति (पलवल) से प्रथम, हर्षिका (पलवल ) से दूसरा स्थान , इशिता  (झज्जर ) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।
100 मीटर पुरुष (1999 -2005) में प्रियांशु  (फरीदाबाद ) से प्रथम, तनिष्क  (झज्जर) से दूसरा और कुनाल (सोनीपत) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में दिव्या महाजन  (फरीदाबाद ) से प्रथम, इशिका (सोनीपत ) से दूसरा स्थान , आस्था (सिरसा ) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।  
100 मीटर पुरुष (2006 -2007  ) में जय आदित्या  (फरीदाबाद ) से प्रथम, तनमय (फरीदाबाद ) से दूसरा और प्रियांशु (फरीदाबाद) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में पूर्णिमा (फरीदाबाद ) से प्रथम, ऐना (सिरसा ) से दूसरा स्थान , निशा (सिरसा ) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।  
100 मीटर पुरुष (2008 -2009  ) में इशांत  (झज्जर ) से प्रथम, उदित (फरीदाबाद ) से दूसरा और भुमित (फरीदाबाद) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में इदरीस  (पलवल ) से प्रथम, निशिका  (झज्जर ) से दूसरा स्थान , वंशिका  (बहादुरगढ़ ) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।  
100 मीटर पुरुष (2010 -2011) में तरुण (सोनीपत ) से प्रथम, प्रिंस (सोनीपत ) से दूसरा और शुभम  (सोनीपत) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में निहति  (पलवल) से प्रथम, हर्षिका  (पलवल) से दूसरा स्थान , इशिका (झज्जर) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।  
100 मीटर पुरुष (2012) में देवांश (पलवल ) से प्रथम, अरहंत (सोनीपत ) से दूसरा और अकालबीर (फरीदाबाद) से तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। इसी में महिलाओ में प्रांजल (बहादुरगढ़)) से प्रथम, यतिका  (फरीदाबाद ) से दूसरा स्थान , प्रियांशी (सिरसा ) तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया।

जसपाल राणा फिर बने दिल्ली स्टेट राइफल एसोसिएशन के चेयरमैन, पत्रकार फरीद अली गवर्निंग बॉडी मेंबर चुने गए

नई दिल्ली : देश के मशहूर निशानेबाज़ पद्मश्री, द्रोणाचार्य और अर्जुन पुरस्कार से सम्मानित जसपाल राणा एक बार फिर से निर्विरोध दिल्ली स्टेट राइफल एसोसिएशन के चेयरमैन चुने गए हैं, तो वहीं पत्रकार और राष्ट्रिय स्तर के निशानेबाज़ फरीद अली ने गवर्निंग बॉडी मेंबर के लिए हुए चुनाव में जीत हासिल की है. जसपाल सिंह मारवाह निर्विरोध वाइस चेयरमैन चुने गए हैं, तो वहीं सचिव अनुपम कमल, संयुक्त सचिव ईशविंदर जीत सिंह और कोषाध्यक्ष राजीव शर्मा भी निर्विरोध चुने गए हैं.

दिल्ली स्टेट राइफल एसोसिएशन के गवर्निंग बॉडी मेंबर पद के लिए इस बार मुकाबला काफी दिलचस्प रहा. कुल पांच पदों के लिए 11 उम्मीदवारों ने चुनाव लड़ा, जिनमें शकुन भुगरा, फरीद अली, अचल सहगल, अजित सिंह रनहोत्रा और राष्ट्रीय जूनियर राइफल टीम कोच दीपक कुमार दुबे ने जीत हासिल की.

ITO पास विष्णु दिगंबर मार्ग पर स्थित राजा राम मोहन रॉय हॉल में चुनाव हुआ, जहां कुल 159 निशानेबाज़ों और संघ के सदस्यों ने पांच उम्मीदवार चुनने के लिए वोट डाला. राष्ट्रिय राइफल टीम की कोच शकुन भुगरा को सबसे ज़्यादा 108 वोट मिले, तो वहीं पत्रकार फरीद अली ने भी सभी उम्मीदवारों में अच्छी बढ़त लेते हुए 103 वोट हासिल किये। अचल सहगल को 96, अजीत सिंह रणहोत्रा को 89, दीपक कुमार दुबे 67, विनीत चोपड़ा को 62, समरीन सैयद को 45, दीर्घपाल सिंह को 34, डॉ राजपाल सिंह को 32, सुदर्शन साहा को 18 और डॉ तरुण गुप्ता को 17 वोट मिले।

Hero ISL 2022-23: Bengaluru FC edge past Chennaiyin FC 3-1

 

Chennai, : Bengaluru FC beat Chennaiyin FC with a 3-1 scoreline at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday in the Hero Indian Super League 2022-23.

Despite Chennaiyin FC starting the match brightly and displaying a strong attacking intent, Bengaluru FC struck thrice inside the first half.

The home side opened the scoring against the run of play when Roy Krishna’s long ball caught the visitors’ defence off guard and allowed Sivasakthi Narayanan to slot the ball home and put his side in front in the 15th minute.

Chennaiyin had the opportunity to equalise in the 20th minute when Ninthoinganba Meetel’s cross found Petar Sliskovic but his header narrowly missed the target. Three minutes later, Narayan bagged his second of the match after taking advantage of the opposition’s defensive error in the 23rd minute and Rohit Kumar further added a third in the 30th minute to further extend the hosts before the break.

Chennaiyin’s decision of making three changes at half-time paid off as substitute Edwin Vanspaul pulled one goal back at the hour mark. Jiteshwor Singh played a smart pass to find Vanspaul who scored his first league goal of the ongoing season with a thumping left-footed finish in the top corner in the 59th minute.

This goal helped Chennaiyin gain momentum and their attacking surges saw them come close to scoring a second on multiple occasions. But they failed to find the back of the net as the southern derby finished in favor of Bengaluru FC.

Speaking on his side’s defensive mistakes and fight for a top-six finish, Chennaiyin’s head coach Thomas Brdaric said, “We conceded three goals in the first half after inviting the opponent with our errors. In the second half, we changed ourselves and won the half 1-0. However, we are not close anymore to sixth place but we have to fight as we still have the hope that with 15 points we'll be able to reach our targets.”

Chennaiyin FC will now host Odisha FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on February 2 while Bengaluru FC will travel to face ATK Mohun Bagan on February 5.

सीआरपीएफ की पुष्पांजलि ने दी मनु भाकर को कड़ी टक्कर, 25 मीटर पिस्टल में जीता सिल्वर

नई दिल्ली : मध्य प्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल में 65वीं नेशनल शूटिंग चैंपियनशिप के पिस्टल स्पर्धाओं के मुकाबले चल रहे हैं. गुरुवार को इस प्रतियोगिता के 25 मीटर पिस्टल मुकाबले का फाइनल मैच काफी रोमांचक रहा. CRPF का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहीं दिल्ली की निशानेबाज़ पुष्पांजलि राणा और हरियाणा की ओलंपियन निशानेबाज़ मनु भाकर के बीच कड़ा मुकाबला देखने को मिला. मनु भाकर ने 33 हिट्स के साथ इस इवेंट का स्वर्ण पदक जीता और पुष्पांजलि को 27 हिट्स मारने के बाद रजत पदक जीतने में कामयाबी मिली. जबकि 21 हिट्स के साथ हरियाणा की ही विभूति भाटिया ने इस मुकाबले का कांस्य पदक हासिल किया।

केरल की राजधानी तिरुअनंतपुरम में चल रहे राइफल इवेंट में भी दिल्ली के निशानेबाज़ अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं. मनमोहन सिंह ने , 10 मीटर राइफल मास्टर मेन इवेंट में रजत पदक जीता.. भारतीय जूनियर पिस्टल शूटिंग टीम के कोच और दिल्ली स्टेट राइफल एसोसिएशन के सचिव राजीव शर्मा ने कहा कि इस बार राष्ट्रिय निशानेबाज़ी प्रतियोगिता में दिल्ली के निशानेबाज़ बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं. उन्होंने बताया कि दिल्ली की आद्या त्रिपाठी ने व्यक्तिगत जूनियर महिला ट्रैप स्पर्धा के फाइनल मुकाबले में बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन करते हुए 16 अंकों के स्कोर के साथ कांस्य पदक जीता है, तमिलनाडु की नीला राजा बालू ने 24 अंकों के साथ रजत पदक पर कब्ज़ा किया और राजस्थान की मानवी सोनी को कड़े मुकाबले में 23 अंकों के स्कोर के साथ रजत पदक पर संतोष करना पड़ा. इस स्पर्धा के क़्वालीफिकेशन राउंड में आद्या त्रिपाठी 115 अंकों के स्कोर के साथ सबसे आगे थीं.

ट्रैप महिला टीम इवेंट में दिल्ली की कीर्ति गुप्ता, आद्या त्रिपाठी और आशिमा खन्ना की टीम ने 328 अंकों के स्कोर के साथ गोल्ड मेडल जीता है, मध्य प्रदेश की मनीषा कीर, प्रगति दुबे और नीरू की टीम ने 326 अंकों के साथ कड़े मुकाबले में सिल्वर मेडल हासिल किया, तो वहीं हरियाणा की किरण, सुहण्या सिंह और भावना चौधरी की टीम ने 320 के स्कोर पर कांस्य पदक जीता

Indian women create history at 2021 AIBA Youth Men’s and Women’s World Boxing Championships, end campaign with seven gold medals

New Delhi, April 23, 2021: Indian women boxers put up sensational performances as they created history at the 2021 AIBA Youth Men’s and Women’s World Boxing Championships and concluded their campaign on highly successful note with seven gold medals in Kielce, Poland on Thursday.

 

All the women finalists in action--Gitika (48kg) Naorem Babyrojisana Chanu (51kg), Poonam (57kg), Vinka (60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (69kg), T Sanamacha Chanu (75kg) and Alfiya Pathan (+81kg)— registered victories and finished on the top of the podium. Previously Indian women had won five gold medals during the 2017 edition of Youth World Championships held in Guwahati. India women’s team also finished as the No.1 team in the ongoing Championship ahead of Russia with seven gold medals.

Asian Youth Champion Sanamacha, who trains at boxing great MC Mary Kom’s academy in Imphal, added the historic sixth gold for India when she outperformed Kazakhstan’s Dana Diday 5-0 in the 75kg final. Later Young boxing sensation from Maharashtra Alfiya clinched the seventh gold for the country as she stunned a strong contender European Youth Champion Moldova’s Daria Kozorez 5-0 in the final.

“This has been an amazing effort from our youth boxers especially when the players had to be confined at home for most part of the last year and only make do with online training sessions. Our coaches and support staff did a stellar job despite the limitations and challenges. I congratulate all the winners on this unprecedented medal haul. This achievement is a testament of the talent we have in the upcoming generation of Indian boxing,” Boxing Federation of India President, Ajay Singh said while talking about the unprecedented medal haul by India at the AIBA Youth World Championships.

Earlier, Gitika led the country’s dominance and provided a perfect start for the day. The Haryana boxer, who came into the match beating two-time European Champion Italy’s Erika Prisciandaro, knocked down local favourite Natalia Kuczewska 5-0 in the women’s 48kg final and secured first gold medal for India at the on-going Championship.

The Asian Youth Champion Babyrojisana (51kg) and Poonam (57kg) further extended Indian winning momentum as the duo secured identical 5-0 victories to add two more gold medals. While Manipur boxer Babyrojisana looked in great touch during her flawless win against the European Junior Champion Russian Valeriia Linkova, Poonam also hit the aggressive mode from the word go and dominated her experienced opponent Sthelyne Grosy. With sharp and precise punches Poonam did not allow her opponent from France to score any point before completing an easy 5-0 triumph in the final bout.

Vinka (60kg) also produced a spectacular show as her punches, packed with a lot of power, were too strong for Kazakhstan boxer Zhuldyz Shayakhmetova. Referee had to stop the contest and declare Indian as the winner. Rajasthan boxer Arundhati added one more gold for Indian when she completed a fine 5-0 win against Polish boxer Barbara Marcinkowska in the 69kg final.

A 20-member Indian contingent had already created history by securing 11 medals at the on-going Youth World Championships bettering their previous best of 10 medals in 2018 edition. The only Indian men in the final, Sachin (56kg) will be in action tomorrow. Earlier in the men’s section Bishwamitra Chongthom (49kg), Ankit Narwal (64kg) and Vishal Gupta (91kg) won three bronze medals for the country with the semi-finals finish.

A 10-day biennial event, which had the men’s and women’s championship played together for the first time during the 2018 edition in Hungary, has witnessed high competition in presence of 414 boxers from 52 countries.

Manika, Sutirtha make winning starts at World Singles Qualification Tournament

 Mumbai, March 14, 2021: Ace India paddlers Manika Batra and Sutirtha Mukherjee began their quest for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics berth on winning note as the duo registered comfortable straight-set victories in their respective women's singles knockout stage-I opening round matches at the World Singles Qualification Tournament in Doha on Sunday.

The Commonwealth Games gold medallist Batra dominated Bulgaria’s Maria Yovkova during her 11-5, 11-7, 11-4, 11-0 win. While Mukherjee faced some resistance from her opponent Lisa Lung in the fourth game but it was too late for Italian as Mukherjee wrapped the game as well as the match 11-3, 11-5, 11-7, 12-10 in her favour.  

Meanwhile, Achanta Sharath Kamal and Gnanasekaran Sathiyan suffered defeats against Italian opponents in their respective men's singles opening matches. While Sathiyan lost to Mihai Bobocica 11-7, 11-6, 11-8, 11-5, seasoned campaigner Sharath also couldn’t manage hold edge over Niagol Stoyanov as he went down fighting 11-9, 6-11, 8-11, 4-11, 11-8, 10-12. Both the Indians had received bye in the opening round.

With four Indians participating in the ongoing qualification event, where a total of nine (four men and five women) places are up for grabs and scheduled from March 14-17. In the men’s category, players are split into three knockout rounds with the winner of each knockout round earning himself a place in the singles event at the Tokyo Olympics. While the losing finalist and semi-finalists from each of the three knockouts, will be drawn into another knockout stage and the winner will secure the remaining one spot.

For the women’s category, entries are split into four knockouts with the winner of each knockout securing a spot in singles at the Tokyo Olympics. However, losing finalist from each of the four knockouts will fight for the remaining single berth as they will participate in the second stage where they will be drawn into a final knockout and the winner will make it to the Olympics.

Later tonight in the women’s second round matches, Batra will take on Uzbekistan’s Rimma Gufranova while Sutirtha will face a challenge from Russian Polina Mikhailova.

Sharath loses in pre-quarters at WTT Star Contender Doha

Mumbai, March 11: Paddler Achanta Sharat Kamal’s impressive run at the WTT Star Contender Doha came to an end after the Indian suffered a 9-11, 8-11, 6-11 defeat at the hands of World No. 12 Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the men’s singles pre-quarterfinals match on Wednesday.

The World No. 32 Sharath, who surprised World No. 16 Germany’s Patrick Franziska in the last round, started the game well and gave a tough fight to his relatively higher-ranked German opponent as the first two games of the match went neck-to-neck before the London Olympics bronze medalist Ovtcharov turning the momentum in his favour. The German further capitalised on the 2-0 lead and wrapped up the match to enter the quarter-final stage.

With Sharath's defeat, Indian participation at the tournament came to an end. Earlier, Gnanasekaran Sathiyan and Manika Batra made second round exits in their respective singles categories.

New Delhi, November 3, 2019: Escorts Limited today reported a standalone profit of ₹ 104.6 crore in quarter ended September 30, 2019, up by 1.8 % as against a profit of ₹ 102.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations at ₹ 1,323.9 crore in quarter ended September 2019 as against ₹ 1,398.4 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The standalone net profit for the first half year ending September 2019 at ₹ 192.1 crore as against a profit of ₹ 223.4 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Revenue from operations at ₹ 2,746.8 crore in first half ended September 2019 as against ₹ 2,909.6 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Speaking on the results, Chairman and managing Director Mr. Nikhil Nanda said,

“Our new products across business lines, investments in distribution for wider reach & enhanced customer experience with technology upgrades has helped us foray strong in the current industrial pace. Our continuous cost optimization initiatives will offer us additional leverage for stronger revenue, profitability & increased share of market. We will continue to invest in R&D to create value for our customers across domestic and export geographies.”

SEGMENT WISE PERFORMANCE

Escorts Agri Machinery

Tractor sales were at 19,750 units in quarter ended September 2019 as against 20,553  units in the corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 995.6 crore in quarter ended September 2019 as against ₹ 1,043.3 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. This quarter on account of lower volume and unfavourable product mix, EBIT margins now stands at 10.3%.

For first half of current fiscal tractor volumes at 40,801 units as compared to 45,533 units in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 2,087.7 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 2,220.5 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal at 10.6% as compared to 14.4% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Escorts Construction Equipment

Construction equipment sales volume for the quarter ended September 2019 were 945 machines as against 1,331 machines in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenues came at ₹ 201 crore in quarter ending September 2019 as against ₹ 249.1 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin went up by 195 bps to 2.7% as against 0.7% in corresponding period last fiscal.

For first half of current fiscal construction equipment volumes at 2,012 units as compared to 2,676 units in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 413.2 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 495.1 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal went up by 105 bps to 2.6% as compared to 1.6% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Railway Products Division

Revenue for the second quarter up by 19.6% at ₹ 126.7 crore as against ₹ 105.9 crore in the corresponding quarter. This quarter we have higher sales from new products and now EBIT margin stands at 19.1 % in quarter ended September’19.

For first half of current fiscal railways products segmental revenue went up by 26.2 % to ₹ 244.8 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 194.01 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal at 19.5% as compared to 22.4% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Order book for the division as at end of September’19 is around ₹ 500 crore that will get executed in the next 12~15 months.
