New Delhi : India's star shooter Manu Bhaker has created history by winning two bronze medals
dals in the Paris Olympic Games-2024. Her coach Jaspal Rana is also being praised for this young shooter's great success. Delhi State Rifle Association's Vice Chairman Jaspal Singh Marwah hosted a dinner in Vasant Kunj area in honor of both the stars of shooting sport, in which apart from all the officials associated with the DSRA, many big faces of the capital were seen. On this occasion, Indian Para Shooting Team Coach Subhash Rana was also honored by DSRA for the excellent performance of his shooters in the Paralympics, along with Lawyer Gaurav Sareen was also honored.
Manu Bhaker expressed her gratitude to DSRA on this occasion and said that she is currently on a break from the sport, after a break of a few months, she will return to the shooting range again and then start preparing for the next Olympics. Manu said that 'I have done post graduation in public administration, I will continue my studies further, I want to do PhD because my mother wants that my name should have the title of doctor.' Manu said that her journey of success in the Olympic Games would not have been possible without coach Jaspal Rana. She got inspiration and strength only due to the constant encouragement of Jaspal Rana and the support of his family. Manu also thanked her colleagues for their important support during this journey.
Jaspal Rana, the coach of the Indian shooter who won two bronze medals in the Paris Olympics, said that Manu Bhaker's success has been appreciated by everyone, as a coach it is a matter of happiness and pride for me. There is hard work behind this success. Jaspal Rana is also the chairman of Delhi State Rifle Association, he further said that he will continue his efforts in his capacity to bring forward the young talent of the country and provide every possible support.
On this occasion, many important people from the capital associated with shooting sport were present, including Asian and Commonwealth Games medalist shooter Vikram Bhatnagar, Cost Officer of the Union Ministry of Education Manmohan Kaur and Indian Junior Shooting Team coach Rajiv Sharma. Former senior officer of the Sports Authority of India Manmeet Singh, former DSRA President H.S. Bedi and former Secretary Mohan Lal Sehgal also attended the program. Among the current office bearers, Secretary and senior lawyer Akshay Anand, Joint Secretary Ishwinderjit Singh, besides Governing Board members Shakun Bhugra, journalist Farid Ali, Ajit Singh Ranhotra and Achal Sehgal were present. Shooters Nishant Mangala, Harshneet Singh Marwah, Bhrigu Dutt, Shaurya Sareen, armourer R.K. Sharma, coach Falak Sher Alam, Vineet Chopra and Ayesha Falak also participated.
