New Delhi, May 7, 2025 – On the third day of the shooting competition at the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Poonam Raghuvanshi from Madhya Pradesh clinched the gold medal in the Trap Women Youth category with an impressive score of 39 points.
She was followed by Tanisska from Tamil Nadu, who secured silver with 38 points, and Addya Katyal from Delhi, who bagged bronze with 30 points.
Speaking after her victory, Poonam said, “Since the day my name came on the list, I was preparing for gold. I am from Madhya Pradesh and want to say that it is both my and my coach’s efforts that we have a gold today. Now, I am aiming for bigger events in the coming days.”
Silver medallist Tanisska shared, “I am happy to receive the medal and want to thank my coach and family for the support.”
Addya Katyal expressed, “I am satisfied with my game, so I am not that sad. This year I also had board exams, so I am happy with my overall performance. My family is very supportive of the sport. My mother is my inspiration in shotgun shooting, she is a national shooter. I want to be the best version of myself in this sport.”
Delhi is hosting three sports — Shooting, Cycling, and Gymnastics — from May 4 to 15 at the Karni Singh Shooting Range and Indira Gandhi Stadium.
