Blood donation camp organized at JC Bose University



Faridabad, 17 August – J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with the District Red Cross Faridabad and Marwari Yuva Manch, today organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp on the campus. This event was part of a series of activities leading up to the University's 5th Convocation, scheduled for August 21, 2024.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Munish Vashishatha, Dean of Student Welfare, on behalf of Prof. S.K. Tomar, Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Sh. Bijender Sorot, Secretary of the District Red Cross Society, Faridabad. The dignitaries present at the inauguration emphasized the importance of blood donation and encouraged students to participate actively.
The camp was organized with the technical support of the District Red Cross Team, including Sh. Bijender Sorot (Secretary), Mr. Purushottam Saini (District Training Officer), and Mr. Vimal Khandelwal. The Dean of Student Welfare and the YRC team were also present, motivating students to contribute to this noble cause.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 70 volunteers, including students, faculty, and staff members, stepping forward to donate blood. Over 50 donors, including an encouraging number of female students, contributed to the cause. The donors and volunteers were honored with certificates and prizes for their selfless contribution.'
Dr. Navish Kataria, YRC Cell Coordinator, along with YRC Counselors and volunteers, coordinated the camp. Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar congratulated the organizers for the successful event and lauded their efforts in contributing to this vital social cause.
