Manika, Sutirtha make winning starts at World Singles Qualification Tournament

 Mumbai, March 14, 2021: Ace India paddlers Manika Batra and Sutirtha Mukherjee began their quest for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics berth on winning note as the duo registered comfortable straight-set victories in their respective women's singles knockout stage-I opening round matches at the World Singles Qualification Tournament in Doha on Sunday.

The Commonwealth Games gold medallist Batra dominated Bulgaria’s Maria Yovkova during her 11-5, 11-7, 11-4, 11-0 win. While Mukherjee faced some resistance from her opponent Lisa Lung in the fourth game but it was too late for Italian as Mukherjee wrapped the game as well as the match 11-3, 11-5, 11-7, 12-10 in her favour.  

Meanwhile, Achanta Sharath Kamal and Gnanasekaran Sathiyan suffered defeats against Italian opponents in their respective men's singles opening matches. While Sathiyan lost to Mihai Bobocica 11-7, 11-6, 11-8, 11-5, seasoned campaigner Sharath also couldn’t manage hold edge over Niagol Stoyanov as he went down fighting 11-9, 6-11, 8-11, 4-11, 11-8, 10-12. Both the Indians had received bye in the opening round.

With four Indians participating in the ongoing qualification event, where a total of nine (four men and five women) places are up for grabs and scheduled from March 14-17. In the men’s category, players are split into three knockout rounds with the winner of each knockout round earning himself a place in the singles event at the Tokyo Olympics. While the losing finalist and semi-finalists from each of the three knockouts, will be drawn into another knockout stage and the winner will secure the remaining one spot.

For the women’s category, entries are split into four knockouts with the winner of each knockout securing a spot in singles at the Tokyo Olympics. However, losing finalist from each of the four knockouts will fight for the remaining single berth as they will participate in the second stage where they will be drawn into a final knockout and the winner will make it to the Olympics.

Later tonight in the women’s second round matches, Batra will take on Uzbekistan’s Rimma Gufranova while Sutirtha will face a challenge from Russian Polina Mikhailova.

पदम विभूषण ,पदम भूषण व बीसीरॉय से सम्मानित मैट्रो अस्पताल के चेयरमैन डॉक्टर पुरषोत्तम लाल ने बताया कि" विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार विश्व के बहुत सारे देशों में आधे से ज्यादा कर्मचारी अनौपचारिक क्षेत्र के उद्योगों में कार्यरत है, और यह सब किसी स्वास्थ्य बीमा या सुविधा के अंतर्गत नहीं आते।

एक अनुमान के मुताबिक विकास शील देशों में लगभग सवा करोड़ लोग हर साल नॉन कम्युनि के बल डिसीज़ आधारित लाइफ स्टाइल से जुड़ी बीमारियों से अपनी जान से हाथ धो बैठते है।"

फ़रीदाबाद इंडस्ट्रीज एसोसिएशन के प्रेसिडेंट श्री बीआर भाटिया ने इस मौके पर बताया कि" एक कर्मचारी औसतन अपना एक तिहाई जीवन अपने कार्य स्थल पर गुजारता है।कर्मचारियों की सेहत का किसी भी देश की अर्थव्यवस्था का सीधा संबंध है।कार्य क्षेत्र पर उपस्थित विभिन्न प्रकार के जोखिम जैसे किगर्मी, शोर, धुल, रसायन, मशीन, स्ट्रेस इत्यादि बीमारियों को बढ़ाती है।कर्मचारी जोकि स्ट्रेस एवं इस परिस्तिथियों 

में कार्य के उपरांत उनके धूम्रपान करने, व्यायामना कर ने एवं अस्वस्थ भोजन कर ने की संभावना को बढ़ाते है।"

मैट्रो अस्पताल फरीदाबाद के मेडिकल डारेक्टर एवं डाइरेक्ट रइंटरवेंशनल का र्डियोलॉजिस्ट डॉनी रज जैन ने बताया कि"विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार हृदय रोग, सुनन ने की क्षमता में कमी, चर्मरोग, लंग कैंसर, उच्च रक्त चाप, मधुमेह आदि बीमारियां कार्य स्थल से जुड़ी हैं ।इस कारण यह बहुत भी जरूरी है कि कर्मचारी अपनी स्वास्थ्य जीवन शैली खान पान के प्रति जागरूक रहें। इसके लिए उन्हें अपनी दिन चर्या में सैर एवं व्यायाम, धूम्र पान पर सख्त रोक,अपने वजन पर कंट्रोल,४० साल से ऊपर के लोगों को साल में एक बार ब्लड प्रेशर, ब्लड शुगर एवं सामान्य ख़ून की जाँच जरूर कराए ।यदि शरीर के को ई दर्द, गांठ, साँस फूलना आदि का कोई लक्षण देखें तो तुरंत डॉक्टर की सलाह लें, क्योंकि समय पर लीस लाह ईलाज़ पर खर्च एवं जीवन दोनों को बचाता है।"

Sharath loses in pre-quarters at WTT Star Contender Doha

Mumbai, March 11: Paddler Achanta Sharat Kamal’s impressive run at the WTT Star Contender Doha came to an end after the Indian suffered a 9-11, 8-11, 6-11 defeat at the hands of World No. 12 Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the men’s singles pre-quarterfinals match on Wednesday.

The World No. 32 Sharath, who surprised World No. 16 Germany’s Patrick Franziska in the last round, started the game well and gave a tough fight to his relatively higher-ranked German opponent as the first two games of the match went neck-to-neck before the London Olympics bronze medalist Ovtcharov turning the momentum in his favour. The German further capitalised on the 2-0 lead and wrapped up the match to enter the quarter-final stage.

With Sharath's defeat, Indian participation at the tournament came to an end. Earlier, Gnanasekaran Sathiyan and Manika Batra made second round exits in their respective singles categories.

जेसीबी इंडिया ने कोविड-19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई के लिए एशियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज के साथ साझेदारी

 फरीदाबाद : 3 अप्रैल : अर्थमूविंग एवं कंस्‍ट्रक्‍शन इक्विपमेंट बनाने वाली देश की प्रमुख कंपनी, जेसीबी इंडिया लिमिटेड ने कोविड-19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में मदद के लिए एशियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज, फरीदाबाद के साथ साझेदारी की है। इस परियोजना को जेसीबी इंडिया के सीएसआर इनिशिएटिव से आंशिक रूप से वित्‍त घोषित  किया जाएगा। कंपनी पीपीई, दवाइयां, टेस्टिंग किट, सिक्युरिटी सूट्स तथा डॉक्टरों और स्वास्थ्य रक्षा में जुटे कर्मचारियों के लिए कंज्‍यूमेबल्‍स बनाने हेतु फंड जुटाने के लिए पूरी तरह से  प्रतिबद्ध है। इससे कोविड-19 प्रकोप के दौरान फरीदाबाद और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में इस बीमारी से प्रभावित मरीजों को पूरी तरह से मेडिकल सुविधाएं मुहैया कराने की तैयारियों में संयुक्त रूप से तेजी आएगी।

Escorts Ltd. Q2 Profit up by 1.8% at ₹ 104.6 cr.

New Delhi, November 3, 2019: Escorts Limited today reported a standalone profit of ₹ 104.6 crore in quarter ended September 30, 2019, up by 1.8 % as against a profit of ₹ 102.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations at ₹ 1,323.9 crore in quarter ended September 2019 as against ₹ 1,398.4 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The standalone net profit for the first half year ending September 2019 at ₹ 192.1 crore as against a profit of ₹ 223.4 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Revenue from operations at ₹ 2,746.8 crore in first half ended September 2019 as against ₹ 2,909.6 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Speaking on the results, Chairman and managing Director Mr. Nikhil Nanda said,

“Our new products across business lines, investments in distribution for wider reach & enhanced customer experience with technology upgrades has helped us foray strong in the current industrial pace. Our continuous cost optimization initiatives will offer us additional leverage for stronger revenue, profitability & increased share of market. We will continue to invest in R&D to create value for our customers across domestic and export geographies.”

SEGMENT WISE PERFORMANCE

Escorts Agri Machinery

Tractor sales were at 19,750 units in quarter ended September 2019 as against 20,553  units in the corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 995.6 crore in quarter ended September 2019 as against ₹ 1,043.3 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. This quarter on account of lower volume and unfavourable product mix, EBIT margins now stands at 10.3%.

For first half of current fiscal tractor volumes at 40,801 units as compared to 45,533 units in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 2,087.7 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 2,220.5 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal at 10.6% as compared to 14.4% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Escorts Construction Equipment

Construction equipment sales volume for the quarter ended September 2019 were 945 machines as against 1,331 machines in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenues came at ₹ 201 crore in quarter ending September 2019 as against ₹ 249.1 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin went up by 195 bps to 2.7% as against 0.7% in corresponding period last fiscal.

For first half of current fiscal construction equipment volumes at 2,012 units as compared to 2,676 units in corresponding period last fiscal. Segmental revenue came at ₹ 413.2 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 495.1 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal went up by 105 bps to 2.6% as compared to 1.6% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Railway Products Division

Revenue for the second quarter up by 19.6% at ₹ 126.7 crore as against ₹ 105.9 crore in the corresponding quarter. This quarter we have higher sales from new products and now EBIT margin stands at 19.1 % in quarter ended September’19.

For first half of current fiscal railways products segmental revenue went up by 26.2 % to ₹ 244.8 crore in half year ended September 2019 as against ₹ 194.01 crore in corresponding period last fiscal. EBIT margin for first half of fiscal at 19.5% as compared to 22.4% in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Order book for the division as at end of September’19 is around ₹ 500 crore that will get executed in the next 12~15 months.

The reviewed accounts of the second quarter and First six months ended 30^th September 2019 has been approved by the Board of Directors of Escorts Limited.
