Shapath Bhardwaj Triumphs at Thrilling 'Third Shotgun Showdown Challenge' in New Delhi




New Delhi : The "Third Shotgun Showdown Challenge" for trap shooting successfully concluded on Sunday at the prestigious Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, attracting approximately 100 top shooters from across the country for a high-stakes competition. Organized by the Precision Shooting Club, the tournament featured a total cash prize pool of Rs.1,00,000.


Asian Games medalist and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Vikram Bhatnagar, stated that the event saw exceptional participation from the nation’s leading trap shooters, who delivered a display of high-level performance. "The scores were very high, demonstrating the rising standard of trap shooting in India. We meticulously adhered to all international shooting sports rules and standards throughout the competition," he noted.

The competition was structured to ensure a challenging progression, with six squads totaling 36 shooters advancing to the semi-final round. From there, the top six shooters from all squads earned their spot in the exhilarating finals.

The day belonged to Shapath Bhardwaj, who clinched the title and a top cash award of Rs.50,000. The fiercely contested second place was secured by Aryavansh, who received Rs.35,000. Delhi's own Rohit Chaudhary rounded out the top three, taking home a cash prize of Rs.25,000.

The Precision Shooting Club extended its congratulations to all the winners and participants for making the "Third Shotgun Showdown Challenge" a resounding success, setting a high bar for future trap shooting events in India.
