NEW DELHI 22 AUGUST : Delhi State Shooting Championship concluded with the participation of around 600 shooters at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges New Delhi, Several new shooters emerged in the competition. Nine gallantry winner, Delhi Police Special Cell DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav is trying his hand in shooting this time. Sanjeev won a gold and two bronze medals in this competition. In the closing ceremony of the competition, Joint Commissioner of Police of South Delhi Devesh Chand Shrivastava, South East Delhi DCP Chinmay Biswal, former IRS and CEO of Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (Berlin, Germany) Puran Chand Pandey awarded medals to the winner marksmen.
Shaurya Sarin, the sixteen year old shooter and student of Vasant Valley School, won nine medals in the Delhi State Shooting, which includes six gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
Journalist Farid Ali won 6 medals, including 4 gold, one silver and one bronze medal. In the 10 meter pistol event, Farid won gold medal with 571 score, Harsh Gupta also scored 571 but he had to satisfied with the silver medal, DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav won bronze with 568 points.
In the 25 meter center fire individual competition, Arpit Goyal won the gold medal, Rajesh Verma won the silver medal while DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav captured the bronze medal. Farid Ali, Arpit Goyal and Amit Kumar Prasad's team won gold medal in the event of this match.
In the 25 meter standard pistol event, Arpit Goyal won the Gold medal on 561 score, silver medal won by Harsh Gupta with 545 points and Farid won the bronze with a score of 535.
Gold medal of 25 meter rapid fire pistol event won by Arpit Goyal with a score of 574, Amrender Pal Singh Chauhan won silver medal on 535 while Sanjeev Kumar Yadav won bronze medal on 529, Farid Ali was on fourth place with 528 points.
Gold medal of 25 meter rapid fire pistol team event won by, Farid Ali, Arpit Goyal and DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav's team, while Silver Medal went to Prashant Lakra, Amrenderpal Singh and Varun Yadav.
Among junior shooters, Padmashree Shooter Jaspal Rana's daughter Devanshi Rana won the gold medal of air pistol ISSF event, while Radhika Shukla won gold medal in the 10 meter pistol NR event with 347 points. Anmol Arora scored 270 at the Center Fire Pistol NR event to win the gold medal. Police Families Welfare Society's sponsored young shooters won 9 medals in the competition.
