Gurugram :23 November I Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University Vice Chancellor Shri Raj Nehru today urged the Shri Dharamender Pradhan Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship( MSDE) for providing a common platform for all skill agencies to explore the joint collaboration for skilling the Indian youth to meet the expected huge demand of skilled workforce at national and international level.
Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University is the India’s First Government Skill University.
Shri Raj Nehru who stressed the need was called upon to promote the skill programme covering vertical as well as horizontal pathways apprised the Hon’ble Union Minister of various programmes and progress made by HVSU in less than one year of its existence.
The Vice Chancellor presented a copy of the University’s Vision Document to the Hon’ble Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan .He also apprised the strategy and future plan of HVSU and its unique Dual Education Model involving active participation from the industry.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan appreciated the efforts of Shri Raj Nehru, VC for setting up a new benchmark in the area of skill education . He was of opinion that such universities should be in other states too and the HVSU can become a role model for upcoming projects . Hon’ble Minister further added that such interactions should be on regular basis.
Shri Anant Gete, Minister of State MSDE and officials from various skill agencies Mr R K Chaturdvedi, NSDA, Mr Manish Kumar, NSDC, Mr Vijay Dev,DGET , Ms Vineeta IAS,and Ms Chanchal Bhardwaj and Mr Sanjeev Tayal were present during the meeting.
The Vice Chancellor apprised the unique features of Dual Education Graduate Program run by the. He also informed about the Feeder School concept to provide the alternate vocational education opportunity to the students from class 9 onwards. Hon’ble Union Minister appreciated the concept and directed all stakeholders to explore further in this direction.
