Air Force Shooters won both CoC Titles at Indian Revenue Open Shooting Championship – 2017

New Delhi :15 November I Indian Air Force shooter Ravi Kumar wins the title of ‘Champion of Champions’ in 10m Air Rifle event at ‘Indian Revenue Open Shooting Championship’-2017, while Shahzar Rizvi of IAF won the ‘Champion of Champions’ in Air Pistol event at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range. Both were awarded the cash award of Rs.10,000 including a gold medal. Akhil Sheoran and Shriyanka Sadangi became the first and second runner-up in Air Rifle COC, while Abhishek Arya and Vikash Kumar were 1st and 2nd runner-up in Air Pistol COC. 1st runner ups were awarded by Rs.7000 cash and a silver medal and second runner up were honoured by Rs.3000 cash and a bronze medal.

1st Indian Revenue Open Shooting Championship concluded successfully at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range. The championship was conducted in 10 mtr. Air Rifle/Pistol, 25 mtr. Sports Pistol / Standard Pistol / Centre Fire pistol and 50 mtr Free Rifle and Free Pistol events. The competition was organized by Indian Revenue Officers Shooting Club, which is formed by the officers of the Indian Revenue Services viz. Customs, GST, Income Tax, DRI etc. The event was conducted by the Delhi State Rifle Association under the aegis of the NRAI.

The championship concluded with the CHAMPION OF CHAMPION event in both Air Rifle and Air Pistol wherein top 4 female shooters and top 4 male shooters competed against each other in a thrilling shoot off. The top three rankers in all categories and events were also given medals and certificates.
The officials of the IROSC Dr. John Joseph, Member, Central Board of Excise & Customs and President IROSC, Shri Pradeep Kumar, Commissioner (GST) and  Secretary IROSC and Shri Arjun Chandra Mehrishi, Senior Intelligence Officers, GST Intelligence and Treasurer, IROSC, extended their congratulations to all the winners and participants and also thanked the DSRA, SAI and NRAI for smooth conduct of the tournament. They informed that the second edition of the tournament in 2018 would be conducted on a even bigger scale. All the shooters praised the IROSC and DSRA for the smooth conduct of the tournament and expressed their desire to participate next year also.

The championship was a grand success with more than 400 shooters from all over India including some International level shooters, and high ranking Revenue officers from the Customs/GST/Income Tax department, took part in the tournament. Many top ranking shooters in the Senior / Junior / Youth categories viz. Sanjeev Rajput, Ravi Kumar, Yashaswini Deswal, Shweta Singh, Shahzar Rizvi, Deepak Kumar, Amit Kumar Pilania, Akhil Sheoran, Shrine Godara, Shriyanka Sadangi, Hema K.C., Yujvendra, Farid Ali etc. participated in the tournament and provided a spectacular show of high scoring shooting to the delight of the spectators. DSRA Chairman and Chief Coach of Indian Junior Shooting Team Padmashree Jaspal Rana was also present at the prize distribution ceremony and honored the winners with medals and certificates.

North Zone Shooting Championship Concluded with Highest Number of Participants in Delhi

NEW DELHI : 10 NOVEMBER, The 37th North Zone Shooting Championship ends with record entries participation, more than 4000 shooters from across the North Indian states participated in this event. Initially Punjab shooters were leading in most  of the events, but at the end Delhi and Haryana Shooter's performed better at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range. This competition was organised by Delhi State Rifle Association and conducted by National Rifle Association of India. At the final prize distribution ceremony DSRA Chairman Padmashree Jaspal Rana thanked all the officials and participants to make this event a grand success. Indian Revenue department's senior officer Arjun Chandra Maharishi honored the medal winner shooters. 

Olympic Silver medalist shooter Vijay Kumar won 2 gold and a silver medal at 25 meter range in different events. Haryana's Vijay Kumar shot 569 in 25 mtr standard pistol event to win the gold, Mahaveer Singh of Rajasthan scored 565 for silver and Samresh Jung of CISF had to satisfied with bronze medal on 557 points. 

Vijay Kumar also won Gold medal in 25 mtr Rapid Fire pistol event on a score of 572, Harpreet Singh of Haryana and Arpit Goel of Delhi won silver and bronze medal on 570 and 565 scores. 
Ace shooter Samresh Jung clinched the gold medal in 25 mtr Center Fire pistol event by scoring 584, Vijay Kumar 580 and Harpreet Singh 576 both from Haryana won silver and bronze in this event. 
Junior world record holder Yashaswini Singh Deswal of Haryana won gold medal in 10 mtr Air Pistol event with 380 points. Haryana's Manu Bhaker gave a tough fight and shot 378 to win silver, while Rajasthan's Yasha Singh scored 376 for a Bronze medal. 

Delhi's Mahima Singh won another gold medal on 25 meter range in Sports Pistol NR event with 282 points, Tanu Rawal 278 and Tejaswini Singh 275 got silver and bronze medal in this event. 
Nishant Dalal of Haryana won a gold medal in 50 mtr 3 Position ISSF Junior men event with 1151 points, Delhi's Nishant Malik shot 1134 for silver medal and Kunaksh Verma of Punjab got bronze medal on 1115 points. 

Bhawana Chaudhary of Haryana grabbed gold medal in Double Trap ISSF women event by shooting 84 clay pigeons, Rukman Katyal of Delhi shot 76 for silver and Punjab's Prabsukhman Kaur shot 72 to get bronze medal. 

In Double Trap Shooting men event, Shardul Vihan of Uttar Pradesh scored 131 to win gold medal, Shapath Bhardwaj of Uttarakhand shot 127 for silver and Delhi's Vikram Bhatnagar shot 123 for bronze. 

Double Trap shooting NR event, Anushka Singh Bhati of Rajasthan shot 34 clay pigeons for gold medal, Ishika Chaprana of Delhi scored 29 to get silver and Pravjot Kaur Panesar got bronze medal on 27 point score. 

In Double Trap Shooting NR Junior event, Gold and silver medal went to Punjab on an identical score shot by Jaswinder Singh and Gurpratap Singh, while Delhi's Vardaan Bhatnagar won Bronze medal as he shot 36 clay pigeons at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range

New Delhi : 5 November(National24News)Punjab shooters are shining in the 37th North Zone Shooting Championship, at Delhi's Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range. Specially at the shotgun range Punjab shooters are performing very well. Punjab's Amrinder Singh Cheema won gold in skeet shooting while Parinaaz Dhaliwal won Gold and a silver in skeet events. Delhi's Mahima Singh won a Gold medal in 25 meter Sports Pistol event. Ace shooter Samresh Jung honored the medal winners at the first prize distribution ceremony of the competition. 

Delhi State Rifle Association is organizing North Zone Shooting Championship this year. DSRA Chairman and famous shooter Padmashree Jaspal Rana said ''More than 4000 shooters from all northern states are participating in this competition, most of them are young children. This competition could be possible by the cooperation of Sports Authority of India and the efforts of DSRA and NRAI officials, it was cancelled by SAI, before a few days of starting due to some technical reasons. But we requested to SAI officials that shooters and their parents will suffer, as the competition was fixed before 2 months and participants and their parents from all north India states have booked their flight and train tickets as well as accommodations in Delhi. Jaspal Rana with DSRA officials met SAI DG and told him the scenario, DG SAI took it very positively and allowed this competition after discussing with other officials. Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range's administrator also cooperated us and supporting in organizing the north zone shooting smoothly.'' 

DSRA Secretary and Organizing Secretary of the competition Rajiv Sharma told that ''Young children are shooting very high scores in most of the events of shooting. Punjab is leading in this competition followed by Haryana. We will have to develop a better sports culture for more success at the inter-national level sports. Our young generation has potential.''
   
Results; 
10 mtr Pistol ISSF men event; Tinjit Dhanota on Punjab scores 580 to win Gold medal, Anmol Jain of Haryana shot 576 to get Silver, and Pawan Yadav of Uttar Pradesh win Bronze medal with the same score of 576. 
25 mtr Sports Pistol NR Junior women event; Delhi's Mahima Singh won Gold medal with 282 points, Silver and Bronze medal won by Haryana Shooters Tanu Rawal and Tejaswini Singh with 278 and 275 scores.  
Skeet Shooting ISSF men; All three medals went to Punjab Shooters, Amrinder Singh Cheema won the gold medal by scoring 121, Abinash Pratap Singh Sidhu got silver with 117, and Gurnihal Singh Garcha won bronze medal on 116 score. 
Skeet Shooting NR men; Subeg Singh Dhatt of Punjab won the double Gold medal in this event including junior men category with a good score of 46, Mohd Asad Sultan of Uttar Pradesh shot 32 to win silver and Adhiswar Singh Rathore of Rajasthan scores 30 for a bronze medal. 
Skeet Shooting ISSF women; This section of shotgun shooting was also captured by Punjab, Parinaz Dhaliwal clinched the gold medal by shooting 68 clay pigeons, Simran PreetKaur Johal scored 66 for a silver medal and Jasmeen Kaur got bronze medal on 63 points. 
Skeet Shooting ISSF junior women; Rajasthan's Karttiki Singh Shaktawat shot 71 to win the gold medal, silver and bronze medals won by Punjab shooters Parinaaz Dhaliwal 68 and Simran PreetKaur Johal 66.

NEW DELHI : 29 OCTOBER (NATIONAL24NEWS) Ace Shooter Jaspal Rana's son Yuvraj Singh Rana and daughter Devanshi Rana both are performing well in the shooting championships. Devanshi won a Gold medal in 10 meter pistol junior women event of 1st South Delhi Distt. Open Shooting Competition with a good score of 381 at Sirifort sports complex shooting range, while Yuvraj won gold medal in 10 meter pistol youth men event with 363 score. Shooter Ronjan Sodhi's wife and the famous nutritionist Ruchika Sodhi sponsored the competition and offered her free services to the medal winners of this shooting championship. 

According to Anupam Kamal, President of SDDRA, this association was established to promote shooting sports amongst youth and adults with the uniqueness that it is governed by national-level and renowned shooters in various rifle, pistol and shotgun events, with all office-bearers being medal-winners in shooting at either State, Zonal or National level! The unwavering support by Shri Jaspal Rana, Chairman and Shri Rajiv Sharma, Hony. Secretary of Delhi State Rifle Association was instrumental in organising and conducting this competition.

The day-long competition fulfilled the association’s basic objectives as it saw participation by enthusiastic shooters – the youngest being 9 years old and the eldest 64 years. The competition was graced by several dignitaries who gave away prizes to the winners.  Shri Santosh Pal, Leader of the House, EDMC; Shri NS Rana, a sports veteran and first sports minister of Uttarakhand, Chhaya Adak, Arjuna Awardee and Shri Jaspal Rana, Padmashree, Arjuna Awardee and Chief Coach of the Indian Junior Pistol Team, were amongst those present. 

According to Nishant Mangla, General Secretary of SDDRA, there were more pistol shooters than rifle shooters.  In the men’s Pistol events, according to their respective age categories, the gold medal winners were Yuvraj Singh Rana, Shaurya Sarin, Suraj Bhambhani and Jagroop Singh. Silver medal winners were Agneya Kaushik, Siddharth Rawat, Sanskar Gupta, and Kabeer Arif. Bronze medal winners were Shrey Sarin, Ayush Bhatt, Aditya Garg, and Anurag Khanna. The Senior & Veteran category (aged 40+) the gold medal was won by none other than the President of SDDRA, Anupam Kamal, silver medal by Arjun Chandra and bronze by Ishwinder Jit Singh.

In the men’s Rifle events, the gold medal winners were: Soham Garg, Mohd Sufian Ahmed, Mirza Mohd Mustafa; the Silver medal winners were: Dhruv Singh and Nitesh Prakash; and Bronze medal winners were: Devyansh Shandilya, Deepak Kumar Saini.

In the women’s Pistol events, the gold medal winners were: Parnika Bhalla, Mahima Singh, Devanshi Rana, Lovleen Kaur and Nirmal Yadav. Silver medal winners were: Prarthana Khanna, Rishika Verma, Aarzoo Saifi and Amandeep Kaur Dhawan. The Bronze medal winners were: Naaz Khan, Maria Tausif and Kim Michael.  In the women’s Rifle events, the gold medal winners were: Sohni Gujral, Jahnvi Madan and Kapila Dabas, while the Silver medal winner was Manya Bhargava.

The President of SDDRA was also presented with the NAGRI Cup by Capt. Rakshi Sharma and Abhijeet Singh of the National Association for Gun Rights India for the promotion of shooting sports.  Besides this Rolling Trophy, prize money will be awarded to best shooting teams of Delhi. The SDDRA plans to conduct such Open Shooting Competitions every quarter and include the youngsters in the 10-12 age groups as well.

फरीदाबाद:28अक्टूबर (National24news) मानव रचना यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा आज 28 - 30 अक्टूबर तक होने वाली तीन दिवसीय दस मीटर एयर पिस्टल निशानेबाज़ी प्रतियोगिता का आज शुभारम्भ हुआ. इस प्रतियोगिता में देशभर से 160 से जायदा नेशनल और इंटरनेशनल निशानेबाज़ हिस्सा ले रहे है. आयोजकों द्वारा विजेता शूटरों के लिए दस हजार से पचास हजार तक के कैश प्राइज भी रखे गए है. देश के नाम कई मैडल हासिल कर चुकी इंटरनेशनल शूटर श्वेता चौधरी ने कहा की ऐसे आयोजनों से उनका खेल और निखरकर आएगा और आने वाले कॉमनवेल्थ खेलो में उन्हें इसका फायदा मिलेगा।

 दिखाई दे रहा यह नज़ारा मानव रचना यूनिवर्सिटी स्थित शूटिंग रेंज का है जहाँ आज 28 - 30 अक्टूबर तक होने वाली तीन दिवसीय दस मीटर एयर पिस्टल निशानेबाज़ी प्रतियोगिता का आज शुभारम्भ हुआ. शूटिंग कोच ने बताया की इस प्रतियोगिता में देशभर से 160 से जायदा नेशनल और इंटरनेशनल निशानेबाज़ हिस्सा ले रहे है और इस प्रतियोगिता में उम्र की कोई सीमा नहीं रखी गयी है. विजेता निशानेबाजों को क्रमशा दस हजार , बीस हजार और पचास हजार तक के कैश प्राइज भी दिए जायेगे। उन्होंने बताया की इस तरह की ओपन दस मीटर एयर पिस्टल निशानेबाज़ी प्रतियोगिता पहली बार आयोजित की जा रही है जिसमे नेशनल और इंटरनेशनल स्तर के शूटर्स भाग ले रहे है.
